John Jacobs
John Jacobs is a senior association and nonprofit executive, consultant, and entrepreneur with more than two decades of leadership experience spanning global organizations, trade associations, NGOs, and the United Nations. He has led strategy, operations, membership growth, and innovation initiatives, generating more than $100M in combined revenue, sponsorship, and membership value.

John’s career bridges sectors. He began in international operations at Harris Corporation and Verizon Communications, before moving into global development leadership with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. In the nonprofit sector, he has served as a senior executive helping associations expand member value, strengthen engagement, and launch new services — including as Chief Operating Officer of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).

He has also served in leadership and advisory roles with the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, Hartman Executive Advisors, and today as COO and Senior Advisor of the Center for Collaborative Intelligence (CCI), where he helps organizations adopt AI, strengthen governance, and build future-ready strategies.

As Founder of Broadreach SMI (Strategy | Management | Innovation), John partners with associations, nonprofits, and NGOs to deliver strategic planning, fractional leadership, technology integration, and AI-enabled solutions. His work combines a global perspective with deep sector expertise, helping mission-driven organizations stabilize, modernize, and accelerate their impact.

John holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA in International Affairs from American University.
